Rebuild Louisiana

In response to the death and destruction of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, PICO LIFT congregations have come together around a Covenant to Rebuild Louisiana. Based on conversations with more than 2,000 families displaced from their homes or involved in sheltering others, the covenant is a comprehensive plan to rebuild Louisiana’s housing, education, economic and health care systems on stronger and more equitable foundations.

Through PICO Louisiana more than 100 faith communities are working together to create opportunity and better quality of life for all families in Louisiana. PICO Louisiana is a statewide umbrella for six local and regional federations that are part of the PICO National Network, one of the largest and most diverse faith-based community efforts in the United States.
